Description
This is a silkscreen print with many colors, each printed with a separate screen using a squeegee. There are about 25 individual colors or layers in this image, which is my impression of a good year for tomatoes. What to do with them all?

Wow Anne . I am so impressed with this very ambiguous silk screen print . I have only done a few and they are labor intensive . But I should not be surprised at all because you are a talented artist . And I might add have joyous sense of humor . Love the tomatoes in the window . Hope your Spring is grand . Flying out to Tucson in the AM. For warm inspiration.

How fun! Great scene with the tomatoes invading the kitchen. Love that the windows look out on mountain scenery. Great one, Annie!

Revisiting and choosing this for my pick of the day in Madalena's Women Painters Group! Love this fabulous silkscreen and your choice of colors and fun details! When I lived in Boulder for a few years, I could see just a glimpse of the mountains from my kitchen and this is another reason why I love this so much...just brilliant work, Anne! If this is your kitchen, you have an incredible view!
Anne Gifford replied:
I am happy to know that my silkscreen resonates with you, and why. Thank you for telling me! I do wish this was the exact view from my kitchen window...it once was. This piece is a compilation of many kitchens that I have lived in over many years.

Beware of evil tomatoes!
Anne Gifford replied:
Yes.....they can take over :) Would like to eat one just about now, in February, though!

Wow! Wonderful concept and execution, Anne. I used to do silk screen a hundred years ago. I appreciate all the work that it took for you to do this wonderful work of art. f/l/t
Anne Gifford replied:
I think it was about a hundred years ago that I was doing silkscreens, too, AnnaJo! Thank you for your comment.

I love this Anne - great interior, clean lines and distinct colors and the tomatoes are delightful!

Your wonderful kitchen could have been in the same house as Van Gogh's bedroom. I volunteer to eat the tomatoes.
