Description
The view from the rooftop of Milan's most famous landmark, The Duomo, stretches for miles in every direction. You could easily spend a few hours up there, picking out notable buildings and architectural wonders such as the oddly shaped Torre Velasca, seen here centre right. I waited for the sun to dip down behind the horizon, those terracotta roofs glowing ever more red by the minute as dusk descended and us reluctant to leave visitors were reminded that it was almost closing time. I wondered briefly what it might be like to stay up there after nightfall, what the city would look like after dark from such a great perspective, the ghostly whisper of voices so far below.

Great artwork, Carol. The composition, the colors, especially the processing that shows the great differences of surfaces of the buildins in Milan.

Carol, what a fantastic perspective of Milan, with such a broad vista and great details! I love all of the colors and especially the pastel clouds! Beautiful image! l/f
